General Analysis of the Watchtower of Water

Presentation of the Watchtower of Water

New-Water-TabletThe second of the Watchtowers, that which is located immediately above the Watchtower of Earth, is called the Watchtower of Water. It comprises the occult region known as the astral plane. The Great Western Quadrant of Water is the Watchtower that reflects images upon our physical world. The Water of this Watchtower should not be confused with the water that we drink. It is a region of strong life-creating forces that give rise to all living things but is not life itself.

It is said to surround the Earth, reaching outward to penetrate the sphere of planet Venus. Each of the squares represents a subtle region in this Watchtower. Just as the astral body contains the emotions of a person, so the Watchtower of Water contains the emotional atmosphere of our planet. It is a region of illusive reflection charged with vigorous emotional feelings of all kinds.

The Aether Correspondence

Enochian physics divides each cosmic plane into five subplanes and five subelements. Each of the five subplanes and subelements of the Watchtower of Water correspond to five Aethyrs from BAG to NIA.

The Subtle Body Correspondence

Man has a subtle body constructed of the elements of this Watchtower. It is called the astral body, the kama-rupa of Eastern occultism and the ka of ancient Egypt. The name kamarupa means “desire-body” or “body of emotions,” and thus the astral body is the subtle body opf emotions and feelings. It contains our desires as well as our fears, our loves as well as our hates. All the mortal elements of the human soul are in the astral body. This is the bardo body of Tibetan Buddhism, the body that survives physical death and exists for a time in the bardo-the intermediate state, the kama-loka of Theosophy. The Watchtower of Water is identical to the Astral Light of occultism. The Astral Light is said to surround our earth and is, in fact, the Earth’S living aura. The Astral Light is called the cosmic “picture gallery” because it contains an indelible record of whatever takes place on the astral and physical planes.

The Qabbalistic Sephiroth Correspondence

The Watchtower of Water is closely associated with the Sephiroth of Netzach on the Qabbalistic Tree of Life.

The SubQuadrants of the Watchtower of Water

 Water of Earth

water-of-earthThere are four good angels and four sibling evil angels below the arm of each lesser cross. The letters that make up the name of the good and evil angelos in the eastern subquarter of the Watchtopwer of btrhe East are highlighted in bold type. When the names of the angels below the arms of the lesser crosses are written with four letters, they are good angels, but when they are written wit only three letters, they are evil angels. Thus they form two distinct sets of angels, but since both good and evil angels derive from the same letters, they should be understood as related, each pair composed of a good and an evil twin.
