General Analysis of the Watchtower of Fire

Presentation of the Watchtower of Fire

New-Fire-TabletThe fourth of the Watchtowers that which is located immediately above the Watchtower of Air, is called the Watchtower of Fire. It comprises the coccult region known as spiritual plane. Enochian physics divides each cosmic plane into five subelements. The Great Southern Quadrant of Fire is the Watchtower that causes constant change upon our physical world. It is a region of strong creative and destructive force that gives rise to the ultimate growth of all living things. The Watchtower of Fire should not be confused with the fire that we kindle for it corresponds to a part of the world not to a thing per se.

The Watchtower of Fire is the spiritual-mental universe. It surrounds the Earth like a psychic force field. It expands out to all parts of the near solar system, reaching all the way to the Sun. Ideas are living beings in this region. Each of the squares represents a subtle region of this Watchtower. Just as the casual body contains the causative forces and karmic impetus of a person, so the Watchtower of Fire contains the kindling atmosphere of our planet. It is a region of change and transmutation etched by powerful forces of generation and rebirth.

The Aethyrs Correspondance

The subplane and subelements of the Watchtower of Fire correspond to the Aethyrs LEA tro IKH.

The Subtle Bodies Correspondance

Man has a subtle body constructed of the elements of this Watchtower. Man has a subtgle body constructed of the elements of the Watchtower. It is called the causal body, the atma-buddhi-manas of Theosophy and the khu or khut of ancient Egypt. It is the direct emanation of the I-Not-I monad below the Abyss and is relatively formless. However, consciousness in this body is still tnged with a slight sense of ego. The feeling of oneness and the interrelatedness of all things is very strong in this body. To be conscious in this body is equivalent to entering a degree of Samadhi, a hight state of transcendental meditation.

The Qabbalistic Sephiroth Correspondance

The Watchtower is closely associated with the Sephira of Chesed and Geburah on the Qabbalistic Tree of Life.

When the names of the angels below the arms of the lesser crosses are written with four letters, they are good angels, but when they are written wit only three letters, they are evil angels. Thus they form two distinct sets of angels, but since both good and evil angels derive from the same letters, they should be understood as related, each pair composed of a good and an evil twin.

They inhabit the formless and baren regions of the Watchtower of Fire. The atmosphere of this figure suggests the natural sense of desolation that exists in the spiritual region of formlessness. We are so accustomed to forms that the realms of formless spirituality seem bleak and barren by compararison. According to human brain thinking, these lofty regions seem like a dry and barren desert. The process of spiritualization is sometimes referred to as « letting go » because we must leave behind all of our treasured concepts and images about ourselves. In both love and death, we let go of ourselves for a while, and for this reason most people fear to love and fear to die.[10]

The illustration shows their chief function; they embody those karmic forces of transmutation and change that exist in the Watchtower of Fire. A slow gentle heat produces karmic changes that can be intelligently directed. This is symbolized by the face of smoky vapors. The message of this figure is to understand the Law of Karma and act within its broad jurisdiction. This is also a figure of Magick, because any conscious change is, by definition, an act of Magick. The atmosphere of this figure suggests all magical operations which take place under the Law of Karma.[14]

The Demons of the Tablet of Fire

44-OTIM-DEMON-OF-FIREThe sixteen primary Demons of Fire are MAD, MSI, MPA, MAK, IOP, IAP, ISK, TGM, TEK, TAM, TBR, ODA, ODI, ONO, and ORG. This illustration shows these demons as powerful and as gleefully destructive. Their nature is to rend asunder. They are embodiments of fiery death who inhabits the sixteen Lesser Squares of the Watchtower of Fire. These demons act under the Law of Karma, and are natural dispensers of karmic punishment. They act without intelligence of forethought. The human mind sees them as malicious, but they are rather like fire elementals (the Salamanders of occult tradition), and they are not inherently evil. They destroy with no regard for the suffering incurred. They have no moral sense of right and wrong, and in that sense they can said to be totally insane. They can only hurt those with bad karma, and can be controlled by those with a preponderance of good karma. Karmic purification is often used by a magician as a way to control these demons.[15]

The Fire Mandala and its Pathworking

The Fire Mandala

the-fire-mandalaThere are four good angels and four sibling evil angels below the arm of each lesser cross. The letters that make up the name of the good and evil angelos in the eastern subquarter of the Watchtopwer of btrhe East are highlighted in bold type.
