General Analysis of the Watchtower of Air

Presentation of the Watchtower of Air

New-Air-TabletThe third of the Watchtowers, that which is located immediately above the Watchtower of Water, is called the watchtower of Air. It comprises the occult region known as the mental plane.   The Great Eastern Quadrant of Air is the Watchtower that pours thoughts and ideas upon our physical world. It is a region of strong intelligent forces that give rise to the logic and reason of all living things. The Watchtower of the Air should not be confused with the air that we breathe. Each of the squares represents a subtle region in this Watchtower. It is said that this Quadrant is located from the surface of the Earth upward in all directions until the highest subplane touches the surface of the planet Mercury.

The Watchtower of Air is the psychic universe. It is a large psychic field surrounding the Earth and extending outward from a considerable distance (it is said to reach the planet Mercury). It is the home of all of the thoughts and psychic forces that man has ever, and will ever, become aware of and/or give expression to on this planet. Thoughts are living beings in this region. Just as the mental body contains the thoughts of a person, so the Watchtower of Air contains the general thinking, or mental atmosphere, of our planet. It’s a region of motion, bristling with collective awareness.

The Aethers Correspondence

Enochian physics divides each cosmic plane into five subplanes and five subelements. The subplanes and subelemenst of the Watchtower of Air correspond to the Aethyrs from TOR to TAN.

The Subtle Body Correspondence

Man has a subtle body constructed of the elements of this Watchtower. It is called the mental body, the mayavirupa or manas of Eastern occultism and the ba of ancient Egypt. Manas is the mind and it is normally viewed as divided into at least two major sections: the higher manas which contains pure thoughts (sometimes this is called the causal body), and the lower manas, which is associated withnego and is tinged with desire. The watchtower of Air is the region of the human mind, the lower manas.

The Qabbalistic Sephiroth Correspondence

The Watchtower of Air is closely associated with the Sephira Hod and Tiphareth on the Quabbalistiv Tree of Life.

air-of-earthThere are four good angels and four sibling evil angels below the arm of each lesser cross. The letters that make up the name of the good and evil angelos in the eastern subquarter of the Watchtopwer of btrhe East are highlighted in bold type. When the names of the angels below the arms of the lesser crosses are written with four letters, they are good angels, but when they are written wit only three letters, they are evil angels. Thus they form two distinct sets of angels, but since both good and evil angels derive from the same letters, they should be understood as related, each pair composed of a good and an evil twin.
